You can view it here!

January Favorites

This year I've got a few essentials that are perfect for "ringing in the new year"
I've got Coco Chanel Mademoiselle perfume in a travel sized twist and spray. It comes with 2 bottles to refill. It's rosey but mature, not too young not too old ($95).
Next I have Kendra Scott earrings ("Alexandra Gold Earrings in Slate, $65"), the other day I actually went into panic mode because one of them flew off my ear while I walked from the front door to my car! Luckily I found it!!
On the right I have an Italian pocket book given to me by my mother for my study abroad trip I'll be taking! It's awesome because it has common phrases and how to pronounce them. You can find them at Barnes and Noble and are great for the ambitious traveler.
Underneath is one of my favorite books that I've had since I was 16 called Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcom Gladwell.
A marble-cover notebook I found at Earthbound for jotting down ideas.
And my 2016 agenda from Barnes and Noble because Lord knows I need one. It shows the full week on 2 pages with an hour by hour outline each day.

Weekend with the family

I visited my parents this weekend and my mom made some amazing "belgium waffles".
I've got such a long day ahead with my dinner party tonight! I have to drive back to the apartment, clean, grocery shop, cook, set everything up and then the guests come at 5! It's time to fuel up on as much coffee as possible.
I wish I was better at writing these posts, every time I sit down to write I don't know what to say.
On another note, the Europe trip is coming together and I can't wait to share with you guys what I'll be up to :) It's going to be the summer of a lifetime, for sure

Signing off for now!
Au revoir!

Happy Friday!

My roommate bought this cute little plant from the school's pottery club out on the quad yesterday and it begged for it's picture taken with the 4 yards of burlap I bought for our dinner party. I'll admit I've been so lazy all morning. I'm so obsessed with food blogs and how aesthetic they make all the food look! Maybe I'll start trying to cook new things...
I've been shooting so much more now, and I feel so much better internally and skillfully. It's a great escape to just take pictures and it's rewarding to see the outcome. I do feel kind of intimidated around all the other photo students at times, though, because they seem to know what they're doing and have a their own style but I'm confident that my work will take me where I'm meant to be. My next series that I'm making for my digital studio class is going to be called "American Dreams." More info on that later ;)
Here's my adorable dog, Sven, being lazy and sleeping with his feet

Quadra-lingual?!

Let me just say that trying to learn French and Italian at the same time before this summer is going to be a bit of a challenge!! I'm well aware duo lingo will only take me so far but it's a start ahaha

A Moment in Time

So I woke up this morning, thanks to my dog, and decided to work on a series I might submit this friday for an art show. The show is called "A Moment in Time" so I thought, what's a better moment captured than the details you notice when you're with another person? Maybe I'm just weird but when I spend a lot of time with someone [that I admire] I start to look at their details and capturing that moment in my mind. I feel like I just repeated myself just now but oh well, it's 9:30 AM and I haven't had my coffee yet! This was kind of a spur of a moment, 'I have to shoot this' kind of things.
Anyway, signing off for now!
Au revoir!
